Vacation time, I might look like I am on vacation a lot but this time my boyfriend and I actually had 12 days off at the same time! We decided to do a 10 day road trip in Corsica. We went drove along the coast and stopped at various villages along the way. I did a poll on Instagram and mainly people voted they wanted to see beach pictures and how we found them.
I am going to give you my Top 5 beaches that we went to which are highly recommended. We found them either by google maps satellite version, or through Instagram. I’m posting pictures of some of the beaches below.
Top 5 Corsican Beaches
-Plage de Calvi (Calvi)
-Plage de Lozari ( Near L’île- Rousse )
-Plage L’île- Rousse ( Downtown L’île - Rousse )
-Plage du petit Sperone ( Bonifacio )
- Plage de Santa Giulia ( Near Porto Vecchio )
Those are just some of the photos taken of the beaches. The colors are just so blue and clear, we wanted to stop at many other beaches but we ran out of time. We went the last two weeks of October which the water was chilly, around 20 degrees celsius but we took advantage anyway. The more time you spent in the water the warmer it got, the sun helped too.
When we went to Plage du petit Sperone we packed a little picnic for after swimming. It was a little bit of a walk to get to the sandy parts of the beach where it was more secluded, but totally worth it. The current was pretty strong, as their was a big storm coming which happened later on that evening. The good news is the water is fairly shallow, so you can touch the sand easily to walk back to shore if you don’t feel like swimming.
If you ever go to Corsica towards the end of October just be aware that it is the off season and not much is open as it normally is in regular season. We still had a great time and felt like locals, and I can’t wait to go back.
